Please keep in mind, that while the IRS will begin efiling January 27, 2019 anyone filing a return and expecting a refund from EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit or the ACTC (Additional Child Tax Credit) should expect a delay.
The delay will be on the whole refund not just for those credits. IRS will begin releasing those refunds beginning mid-February.
